Equinox hits the mark in his 5th consecutive Group One race last night.

The 2000 meter (10f) Tenno Sho at Tokyo Racecourse confirms that Equinox is one of the greatest race horses of all time.

Christophe Lemaire guided the beauty to a 2-1/2 length win over Justin Palace.

This time, he cemented back to back victories in the (Autumn) race in a record 1:55.2

He was able to show the world why he has stood as the number one horse in the world on the Longines Chart after a 126 day layoff. He moved like a freight train, unchallenged, straight down to the wire.

Equinox is so beloved in the Land of the Rising Sun that the reigning Emperor of the country, Naruhito, sat in attendance to witness this animal preserve Japan's World's Pride.

There have been many greats within the history of this sport. Secretariat. Man O'War. Frankel. Ribot. Citation. Dr. Fager.

But only one from Japan. He will be part of the Golden Age. Lucky are we to be living through it now.

That is really all that needs to be said.
