Star Ratings are strictly designated based on the Optimum Configurations best suited historically for the distance of the 10f Kentucky Derby on the Churchill Downs Track Bias for the first Saturday in May.

The ratings have zero compatibility for any races leading up to the Derby between now and then. Strictly the Derby.

For a Futures bet to have any merit, the colt must hold the inheritance to compete at 10f, regardless of how strong he appears running at 9f and under and collecting points to make a gate.

Ratings at 1 heart to the highest at 5 hearts depicting suitability for Board Hit Consideration (superfecta placement) on a Churchill Downs May Track at 10f and assumes a healthy horse from now through to Derby Post Time. It also considers the minimal past performances to date as it aligns with their configurations.
