After many years of posting my horse handicapping at a popular sports forum (Pregame.com) for many years, I recently decided to permanently leave there and start posting my "Big Day Handicapping" here on TheDirtyHorse Club. My Triple Crown and Breeders Cup threads usually got well over 10,000 views for a reason, I was the best handicapper on the site and my profitable record was unmatched by anyone else there. I'll venture to guess I was making money around 75% of my posted race days- sometimes a little and sometimes alot, but you weren't losing money in the long run. Along with my desire to help Lisa expand the site with more content, the lack of appreciation I received there became disheartening. A perfect example was this past Preakness Day, when I posted picks for 4 races I liked for that day. In two of the races, I had the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place horses. In another race I posted, I had the winner and a $74 exacta (on a $6 bet). In the last posted race, I had a long shot and a $75.60 exacta (on a $12 bet). People that played my tickets made a killing. So, 10K views and 3 thank you's. THREE! This is just one example of many. Sports handicappers are a different breed of people- but that's a whole different story. So, I am not competing against Lisa or her suggested picks....... I will just provide another point of view and analysis derived from my own style of handicapping from the various sources I utilize, including this site. The more info we have available, the more informed decisions we can make. I tend to bet on Exacta's, as I feel they have the best ROI with a reasonable chance of hitting. Football is nearly over, and the better races are getting closer and closer. Let's make some money this year!
